The Mobile Farm is an experience that can enlighten a child's understanding of farming. By understanding where the meat they eat comes from it allows them to understand their food and make informed choices.
We work alongside DEFRA and local farmers to ensure the safety and welfare of the animals.
This enlightening day can provide an opportunity for less advantaged students to experience the sights, sounds and smells of animals they would not normally encounter in an urban environment.
Supported by our three stage process you can plan lessons effectively, integrating our lesson plans before the experience so you can progressively introduce the subject. This allows students to discuss and debate issues such as religion and its links in a considered way but also assists in moral development.
Our Mobile farm normally includes
On Site full day support from a qualified teacher which incorporates - Class Talk, Staff Briefing
Keystage specific lesson plans and resources for before, during and after the experience written by teachers for teachers
Remove the farm and any waste/straw leaving your site clean and tidy.
